NAIROBI, Kenya, May 2 – At the recent World Economic Forum gathering in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, one topic echoed loudly throughout the discussions: the urgent need for sustainable energy solutions to address the pressing challenges of climate change and environmental degradation.
Among the prominent voices advocating for this crucial transition was the chairman of Milan-based advisory firm GKSD, Mr Kamel Ghribi.
Mr Ghribi, known for his visionary leadership in promoting sustainable development initiatives, seized the opportunity to highlight the imperative of prioritizing green energy at the forum.
With climate change posing a significant threat to global stability and prosperity, Ghribi stressed the importance of accelerating the adoption of renewable energy sources and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
“We see enormous work ahead of us, after discussing with world leaders here at the WEF Special Meeting in Riyadh. Together with the private sector, we are enablers of creating the Irreversible Path to Peace and Prosperity that has been highlighted here today,” Mr Ghribi said at the event which took place from April 27 to 30, 2024.
GKSD’s unparalleled expertise in providing advisory services for sustainable energy projects in healthcare, engineering, and construction sets a new standard in the industry.
Earlier this year, GKSD advisory played a pivotal role in facilitating the international management procurement of a public hospital in Iraq, bringing the renowned Italian healthcare center to the San Donato Group, Policlinico San Donato.
As new infrastructure projects emerge, the focus on sustainable energy becomes paramount.
GKSD’s Green Solutions team, led by Mr Ghribi, engaged in discussions with key stakeholders from around the world, including government officials, industry leaders, and environmental advocates, to explore collaboration opportunities for advancing the green energy agenda.
In the meeting, Mr Ghribi shared insights with notable attendees including the president of Rwanda Paul Kagame, Abdulla Bin Touq al Marri, UAE’s Minister of Economy, Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt’s Prime Minister, as well as diplomats from the EU and Gulf countries.
“We extend our grateful thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for having hosted the Special Meetings highlighting the need for collaboration and establishing trust among the geopolitical sphere but also to emphasize the importance to the right of health, and the right to human dignity,” Mr Ghribi added.
The meetings in Riyadh were also an opportunity for GKSD delegates to participate in working meetings with established partners and leaders of industries from the Middle East region.
The company also has presence in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Romania and Poland.
