GSD Vice President and ECAM Chairman Kamel Ghribi hosted a prestigious dinner in Rome

In preparation for the G20 summit and the side-line Afro-Italian summit, GSD Vice President and ECAM Chairman Kamel Ghribi hosted a prestigious dinner in Rome that was an opportunity to promote bilateral relations between Italy and Algeria. Guests of honor were the Algerian Foreign Minister Mr. Ramtane Lamamra and his Italian counterpart Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio. Kamel Ghribi was also delighted to welcome the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese and Prefect of Rome Matteo Piantedosi. The event was attended by numerous dignitaries, politicians, and luminaries from the diplomatic and financial arenas and proved an ideal opportunity to discuss the importance of healthcare diplomacy as a tool to raise awareness and increase investment in the sector. To this end, H.E. the Algerian Ambassador Ahmed Boutache and the Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra thanked GSD Vice President Kamel Ghribi and Gruppo San Donato for the donation of oxygen and other essential life saving medical material that continues to help Algeria to beat the Covid 19 pandemic. Kamel Ghribi stated that such events are essential strategic moments that bring all of the top decision-makers together in an informal and relaxing setting, allowing tangible steps to be taken towards the promotion of investment in such critical sectors as healthcare and the economy in general. Furthermore, the dinner organized by Kamel Ghribi was a major step in the consolidation of bilateral relations between Italy and Algeria that will go on to generate great benefits for the future of both nations.
