Ghribi “From Cernobbio message of peace, security and stability”
Year after year, it is my great pleasure to attend the Ambrosetti Forum in Cernobbio; however, this year was particularly special as it was the 50th edition.
Once again, I had the opportunity of appreciating the quality of the content and the intense experience of meeting global leaders, with whom I had the opportunity to deepen the themes that are most dear to me: peace, security, stability, an healthcare that can make all citizens of the world equal, starting with children.
It is a mistake to consider peace only as an element of security; peace is also an essential prerequisite for the orderly development of markets, for the smooth running of the economy and for the growth of nations, be they rich or poor. Only safe and stable nations and societies can foster the ideal conditions for business.
That is why peace and prosperity walk hand in hand and why we must not forget the Mediterranean and Africa if we want to cultivate these two pillars.
All of this I wanted to convey to the many leaders I met, be they from Africa, the Middle East, the European Union, the United States or Eastern Europe.
Events like the one in Cernobbio essentially serve this purpose: to circulate good ideas and good intentions and make them become a source of virtuous contamination between leaders and peoples.
